Fullersburg Woods
What to expect:
This lovely trail winds along Salt Creek, going through mature woods with beautiful fall colors, especially from maple trees. Along the way, we have the opportunity to visit the Old Graue Mill, which is our state’s only remaining operating waterwheel grist mill. This historic site was also a significant stop on the famous Underground Railroad. Today, it serves as a museum offering fascinating glimpses into Victorian-era living, including an exhibit dedicated to traditional spinning and weaving techniques. This Preserve is 222 acre wildlife haven set within an urban environment. Approximately 3.5 miles on a crushed gravel trail.
