What to expect: Back by popular demand, this is a different type of walk/experience for Trailbound Trips. We will seek to immerse our senses in the forest, and allow nature to refocus ourselves. Our hope is that you will walk away feeling refreshed and invigorated. Julie Kanak, a certified Forest Therapy guide, and an experienced Trailbound Trips guide, will be leading these walks.
We will wander into the deep ravine that holds the Indian creek, through restored prairie, and into virgin oak-hickory woodlands. Our trail takes us along Reed pond, an 8-acre bay that opens up to the large Salem Lake. Reed-Turner is a special place that has a large variety of spring ephemerals & native plants in one small protected area of land.
