A 457 acre resevoir with 20 miles of shoreline
At 457 acres in size, Busse Reservoir proudly stands as one of the largest fishing and boating waters in Cook County. This reservoir features over 20 miles of scenic shoreline, providing ample opportunity for exploration. We will navigate the quieter areas of the reservoir, allowing us to fully appreciate the rich summer wildlife and the shimmering, sparkling waters. To ensure everyone's safety and enjoyment, participation is limited to 10 people.
Single Kayak rental is $25.00/hour. Tandem kayak is $35.00/hour. Pay vendor on site. Bring your own if you have one.

We will not kayak in the rain. If it is a rainy morning, you will receive an email by 7:30am to cancel and receive a refund.

Entrance to Busse Woods is 3/10 of a mile East on Higgins, from route 53. OR, 2 miles west of Arlington Heights Rd.
Head south on the forest preserve drive for 1.3 miles until it dead-ends at the boating center.

Cancellations
You can get a refund for your kayak trip if I can find someone else to take your place.
Please email hello@trailboundtrip.com, and let me know you would like to cancel.
Refunds
Refunds are given when Trailbound Trips cancels a hike. Trailbound Trips will cancel and refund a hike for two reasons:
There needs to be a minimum of five people. You will be notified 24 hours in advance if this is the case.
The weather is dangerous, ie. lightning or rain, you will be notified before 7 a.m. on the day of the hike.
