The City of Crystal Lake reclaimed the long-abandoned Vulcan Lakes quarry and turned it into an amazing recreation experience. Enjoy pristine waters that is both deep and clear, home to a surprising variety of fish and restored to a natural habitat. Limited to 10 people for safety.
Kayak rental is $14.00/hour. Pay vendor on site. **Not allowed to bring your own kayak to keep invasive species away.
Parking is $5.00

We meet at 9:15 am, use restroom and get set up with kayaks.

Weather
We will not kayak in the rain. If it is a rainy morning, or the water level is too low, you will receive an email by 7:30am to cancel and receive a refund.

Cancellations
You can get a refund for your kayak trip if I can find someone else to take your place.
Please email hello@trailboundtrip.com, and let me know you would like to cancel.
Refunds
Refunds are given when Trailbound Trips cancels a hike. Trailbound Trips will cancel and refund a hike for two reasons:
There needs to be a minimum of five people. You will be notified 24 hours in advance if this is the case.
The weather is dangerous, ie. lightning or rain, you will be notified before 7 a.m. on the day of the hike.
