Trailbound hits the sidewalks in Oak Park to discover one of Frank Lloyd Wright’s enduring masterpieces—and learn all about the Prairie school of architecture—while visiting his Home and Studio. (1889-1909) Known as the birthplace for Wright’s vision of American architecture, the landmark is recognizable for its flowing rooms and rich, wooden textures. After our guided tour of the interior of Wright’s home, we will admire some other Frank Lloyd Wright homes on our way to lunch in downtown Oak Park. The historic district surrounding the Home and Studio has the greatest number of Wright-designed residences worldwide. After lunch, we will continue seeing more Wright homes, as we make our way back to our cars.

Our walking tour will include a stop at George’s Family Restaurant. A relaxed atmostphere with fresh ingredients at a reasonable price. Lunch cost is on your own. 145 S. Oak Park Ave., Oak Park, IL

We meet at 10:000 am to begin our guided tour at 10:30. We must all be present at 10:15. Please allow extra time for traffic. We hope to finish at about 2:00pm

You will receive confirmation for this new day hike if there is room on the trip.
Refunds
Refunds are given when Trailbound Trips cancels a hike. Trailbound Trips will cancel and refund a hike for two reasons:
There needs to be a minimum of three people. You will be notified 24 hours in advance if this is the case.
The weather is dangerous or not bearable. You will be notified before 8 a.m. on the day of the hike via email.
